Hi Shreesha - yes, the next one is scheduled for January 13 (we're skipping December this year).  When I post it, it will show up under events (go to "Network", then "Events" and you'll see it).  The last couple meetups in particular have been great with special guest presenters and over 30 people attending each time.  Thanks for asking

This meetup is a networking event for anyone living in (or visiting!) Toronto who invests or is interested in investing in real estate anywhere in the US. This is a regular event, usually once per month on the 3rd Monday. No pitching or selling, just a venue to share experiences and resources for those of us actively investing in the US and anyone interested in learning more about investing in US real estate.

This month we have a guest presenter:  Glen Sutherland. Glen is an experienced Canadian investor and host of the "A Canadian Investing in the U.S." podcast and will be presenting on his experiences investing in multiple markets in the US.

Here's the rough agenda:

6:00 - 7:00 Welcome Mingle and general discussion

7:15 - 7:30 Quick Introductions

7:30 - 7:45 Group discussion on How to Research US Markets

7:45 - 8:15 Presentation and follow-up discussion (Buying & Financing Rentals as a Canadian)

8:15 - 9:00+ Mingle / Discussion

Future meetups are generally 2nd Monday of each month. They're planned as follows:

This month we have 2 guest presenters from Ottawa:  Elliott Milek CPA, CGA, EA and Mathieu Laquerre.

Elliott is a U.S. - Canadian tax accountant with over 10 years of experience working with Canadians investing in U.S. real estate. He has helped Canadians secure U.S. financing, helped Canadians open U.S. banks accounts, and ensure U.S. and Canadian tax filings have been completed in a timely and tax efficient manner.

Mathieu is a real estate investor with over 10 years of experience flipping, renting, and managing property. Mathieu has started his real estate investing career in eastern Canada and in Ottawa and has branched out to the U.S. markets over the last few years. Mathieu and his team have been flipping residential and commercial property in Philadelphia for over 3 years and expect to flip more than 15 properties in 2020.

Hi Jeremie, next meetup was supposed to be Oct. 21 but I have a conflict and will be out of town.  I'll likely schedule it for the week after and move the next 2 around as well (maybe one later in November and skip the December one because December is a heavy month for everyone.  I'll post it before too long - I'm just coordinating the presenters.  Stay tuned!
