Hey Matt, I don't know if this helps but I was turned down for financing, two years in a row for a specific deal on a unit in a "Condotel" by Westerly Credit Union because they would not finance that type of property under a portfolio loan. I went this year (third year trying) and they financed it and seem to be a little more open to a few different options. Try them. They seem to be a little more relaxed as far as financing goes. On a side note, it is my opinion that Rhode Island or specifically Westerly is backwards compared to a lot of other places in the US as far as regulations go and processes of certain things. I was at the town hall for the town meeting on regulations of Bed and Breakfast's in the town and our regulations are ridiculous. Just a little rant.
