Cool cool. Kinda what I thought but wasn't for sure. If I would have known what I know now I would have bought a duplex instead of a single family. I'm hell bent on getting me a duplex or fourplex. It's just a no trainer at this point

@Edward Dones I'm trying to go the same route you're going. Did your lender require you to have a credit score above 620?

@Carlos Gonzalez I'm trying to get me a duplex or fourplex and from what I see it's best to go the fha route. I was on my way to getting my credit score into the 600s. My question is do you know what the lowest your score can be to get loan for a multifamily property and what are some good companies to go through that might consider a score slightly under 600.

Dang and I was just referred to him by somebody. Seems like he has some good Youtube instructional videos though. Anybody know about Cameron Dunlap or Kent Clothier?

This is good stuff to know. I want to purchase my first piece of real estate this year and I want it to be a multi family property. I can put 10k down on one but I'm still researching if there is a cheaper route to go. Several people have told me if you going to live in one of the units they treat it just like a single family home. I'm going to step out there on faith real soon. Hopefully I can get one with renters already in there. Jeff did you use a management company or did you manage the property yourself?
