Kevin-- Very nice! Making that leap from the said warm fuzzies to reality is the hard part for many. Way to go!

Erik-- Sounds like you are well on your way! Keep us posted!

Kellie-- Interesting isn't it, how people for one reason or another, kind of bounce from one aspect of real estate to another? Thanks for sharing!

At first glance, it appears that IBD's style is trend following on growth stocks. Does that sound about right, Josh? I still don't know much about either system, as of yet.

I was wondering if, among the stock investors here, anyone is a follower of either strategy (NAIC=National Association of Investment Clubs & IBD=Investors Business Daily).

Mike-- Thanks for keeping the score! :)

Dale-- Good points raised, as always. However a SDIRA can have its place. For example, if one inherits a retirement acct from a parent. It could be left where it is, or rolled over to another company. If it is not a self-directed acct, your investment options are limited. If it is rolled over to a SDIRA, one's options expand.

Great replies from everyone here!

I have been in contact with someone at Equity Trust for some time & am in the process of transferring an acct over to them. It is comforting to hear so much positive feedback regarding their services. Thanks to everyone who responded!

Thanks guys! High marks for Equity Trust, so far. Anyone recommend either to use or not use another custodian?
