I was wondering if, among the stock investors here, anyone is a follower of either strategy (NAIC=National Association of Investment Clubs & IBD=Investors Business Daily).

I have been an IBD subscriber on and off (mostly on, but my subscrition expired about 3 weeks ago) for about 15 years. IBD is 'geared' for active traders and their technical models, specifically CAN-SLIM. So, yes, growth stocks and their trading patterns. William O'Neil's books (I have a few of them) are good at explaining the methodology. I find executing (trading) on breakouts and correctly reading patterns in the IBD world quite challenging, but it's nice when you get a 10 bagger.
