I am working with a seller who is willing to in seller finance his 8-unit apartment building in Norfolk, VA. The property is 100% occupied with the rents at $850. This is a value add apartment in an developing part of the city--35th St corridor. I am searching for equity partners for this project.

Hampton Roads is the most known unknown region in Virginia. This is the case (most likely) because each of the 7 cities are unique in their own way.

Question: Are you all hosting your personal investment properties, OR are you hosting properties that you rent? In the beginning of the episode, Zeona shared that that was her strategy a few years back. 

@Christopher Meis yes, location definitely plays a role. For instanace, I reside in Norfolk, VA and when I look at the Airbnb map I only see rentals near the beach and downtown. In Hampton, I see rentals predominately near the beach. In my area it seems to be based on the areas of main attraction.

@Mindy Jensen and to all in this thread, episode 229 is a definite eyeopener. Thank you Mindy for having Zeona on the  show. 

@Nicholas Baughman when I called I inquired as to whether or not other tenants used Airbnb. Most landlords didn't know what I was talking about. I believe it'll work out.
