Hello BP people,

I am Brad Jenkins, and I found the BP world through the podcasts while searching for real estate podcasts.  I am hooked on BiggerPockets.  I moved to the KCMO area about two years ago from Colorado, and my family and I love it here.  I worked for a local electrician for about a year and a half and now I am in the process of starting my own handyman business.  I love working on older houses and now I have been bitten by the buy and hold/rental bug.  I am devouring info and researching the local market.  I would appreciate any pointers and instruction on how to get financial backing/investors with out being a W2 earner.

I am excited to see all of the discussions, interaction, and help that this community is built upon.  I can't wait to join in, and help others learn, grow, and be successful while I am in the process of doing just that.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate turn in life, that is truly a bummer. Setting achievable goals for yourself that will better your life, situation, and ability to provide for your life can help you keep your wits about you as you find your new way forward. Driving a truck would give you plenty of time to listen to podcasts and formulate new strategies to be successful in your future investments. Good Luck.
