@Jonathan Greene

Great feedback Jonathan, thank you! Any suggestions on best approaches to getting started with that in mind?

I have property that I inherited recently, but don't really want to sell it yet, too little capital to embark on the type of REI project that I want to do, and less than ideal credit and credit history for a conventional loan. What steps can I take to secure a private loan to purchase my first fix and flip property?

@Trevor West

Great post Trevor, I like the breakdown of the process. Is Longhorn Investments based in Raleigh, and do you have any links or more information on them? Thanks!

Hello BiggerPocketors!

I'm just getting started on my journey in Real Estate investing, and my first steps will be possibly wholesaling a few properties first to get some quick capital to fund future rehab projects of my own.  I haven't yet saved up enough capital to embark on flipping myself, but I'm wanting to get as much experience as I can in finding flip projects, analyzing and estimating repair costs, and developing relationships prior to my first rehab.  How would a wholesaler go about finding and connecting with investors looking to invest in flip projects?

All information is greatly appreciated!

@Chad Lanting

Thanks Chad! Greatly appreciated, and yes, that’s the avenue I’m currently working on now. I have one or two specific contractors in mind that I’ll be reaching out to, one of which is one that completed rebuild projects for the restaurant franchise I work for, but I’m unsure if he does residential. Nevertheless, any tips on where and how to connect with lenders? As stated in my other comments, please let me know if there is any way I can lend a hand with anything to be of service!

@Bryan Noth

Thanks again Brian! Any suggestions on further ways to educate myself or gain experience in the area of flipping? I really appreciate the advice!! Is there anything I can offer in return? I have 16 years experience in managing restaurants with 30-60 employees, that's my expertise, but I also have a very sharp mind if there's any other areas I could be of assistance! I do want to give back. I know I'll be successful, so giving a hand in return will definitely always be at the forefront of my mind considering the knowledge and experience I will gain from all those I connect with in the field of REI.

@Bryan Noth

Thanks a lot Bryan! I appreciate you taking the time and responding! I do think that my goals line up with starting with a few fix and flips to generate a little quick capital to begin some BRRRR strategy or multi family buy and holds. I want to grow a multi family unit portfolio ultimately, and very extensively.
