I would love to but I am in Canada right now, but still would love to connect though. I'm looking to purchase an investment property in Florida.

Welcome @Eddie Kilburn

There are a lot of discussions on strategies from the members on here. Definitely something to learn and apply to our Canadian market.

Are there specific areas in Orlando that would be considered 'bad neighborhood' where investors should stay away from? I live in Toronto, Canada and I would like to invest in Florida but find it a challenge to know the areas to focus on.

Toronto here, I'm pretty much in the same situation as @Allison Shepstone Properties in Toronto are increasingly difficult, it requires a lot of capital. I currently have 2 properties in Toronto, but I'm now looking into in the Florida market while there are still a few properties left that can make decent revenue. While I do have a local contact there and a potential partner, I'm still apprehensive about managing a project that I cannot visit anytime I want/need to.

Thanks for sharing this @Engelo Rumora. I've been actually thinking of getting this type of visa. I'm in Canada now and looking to get invested in the US. Though our places may be different I'm interested in finding the step you took to get the visa.

Thanks for the feedbacks.

1st property is a flip to be listed on the market by December, I have a business partner on this. We worked on the demo stage of the flip then our contractors took over, it saved us a bit of cost and learned me a few things. The 2nd property is solely mine and it is a pre-build condo that will be completed mid next year which will allow me to either hold or sell.

This year marks my first year as a real estate investor. I have 2 properties, one to be completed by the end of the year and the other by mid next year. All my assets are currently lock up to the 2 properties. I find myself sitting and waiting for the completion of those properties while I'm feeling to engage onto another investment. As a novice, I'm not sure if there are other ways to acquire another property without my buying power. Are there avenues I can look into? or should I just sit and wait for the completion of the 2 properties while saving $$ from my 9-5 job?
