Hi Everyone,

My name is Eddie and I would like to introduce myself to the Bigger Pockets community. I'm in my late 20's and I currently work and live in Calgary, AB.

I've been poking around the forums for the last couple of weeks and I am nearly caught up on all the podcasts. I'm really impressed with this community and the quality of the advice in the posts, articles and podcasts. Everyone seems excited to help one another.

I have little-to-no real estate experience. I've been reading real estate books here and there over the last 3 or 4 years and I came close to purchasing a multi-family property a few years back but that fell through for one reason or another. Over the last few years I've focused on paying off student loans, consumer dept., etc. and accumulating some savings. I'm now looking to learn more, get my feet wet and see if real estate investing is a good fit for me.

At the moment, I'm most interested in using a buy-and-hold strategy with the goal of partial or full retirement in the 10-15 year range. As many people have said here on the forums, I'm not looking for another job, but I am willing to put a lot of work in up-front to reach my goals.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Looking forward getting to know some of you better.

Eddie
