Hi Kyle, I am happy you are asking the right questions and getting different opinions. Once you complete you research you should sit down and figure out your goals. I noticed you have been receiving great advice from the other comments. I would like to add no matter what the number per door you decide on make sure you leave room for property managing even if you decided to self manage. I will see you at the top my friend.

@Kumar Gaurav Finding the right agent is not easy. You want to find someone that will market your house on multiple  platforms. You need someone that knows your market very well and can help you understand the market. You need someone that will be on top of any issues that might come up. One way to find a great agent is to ask people like contractors, closing attorneys and lenders.

Hi @Lea C., I invest in Somerville and Boston. I believe some form of rent control will be here sooner or later. Somerville and Cambridge currently make developers provide 20 percent of their projects to affordable housing. The city of somerville is also pushing to have a 2 percent tax on real estate sales that would also go to fight affordable housing. Personally, I have been watch the changes and plan to adjust as they come. I love this area and will continue to buy here.

The struggle is real my friend. The low inventory in Roxbury makes it very hard to comp that area. I have purchased 5 units in Roxbury this year. Don't give up keep reaching out to different lenders. You should also reach out to lenders in the area. If you find any properties  you want to wholesale in the area please let me know. I am looking to double my Roxbury portfolio this year.

I love this post. You should always focus on your long term goals and education when deciding on a company. When I started I joined a company that did property managing. Now that I have a bigger rental portfolio that decision payed off. Last year I switched companies so I could learn how to sell a million dollar condo. Now I have the best of both worlds. Stay focus, make a plan and execute!!!

You can wholesale with out any money. If I were you I would start door knocking for seller leads and networking at local real estate meet up for buyers. Most people that don't have money have time so work with what you got. If you have no money and no time God bless you. Stay focus and stay hungry!! I will see you at the top my friend.

When investors see FSBO they are like Sharks in the water. One thing I learned from being in the Marine Corps if you are going into battle bring the best men and weapons you have. I am strong believe the right agent will not cost you money, they will make you money. I am a licensed agent. I invest in two different markets. Please believe I hire the best agent I could find in the market I don't live in. I hope this helps.

@Elena Pech off market means not on MLS. You can find off market deals by finding them yourself or finding other people that can find them for you. You should download the meet up app. You can find great networking events there.
