I just decided to pull the trigger on a tax professional and landed on Brandyn Cox of BMC accounting. He is a military (army, the best) veteran and specialized in real estate. He just completed my 2021 taxes and I am very happy with his systems, communication, and availability.

Welcome to BiggerPockets, always good to see a fellow active-duty military member active on the forms. If you want to learn the STR space, my recommendation is to start with @Avery Carl's Podcast Episode #364 then 375. She solely focuses on the STR space. Have you also looked into the vacation home loan, which only requires 10% down. 

I will reach out to my mastermind group to see if anyone dabbles in the STR space in the Destin/Panama City area. As you grow in this space, I would love to stay connected. I want to purchase vacation homes in the next three to four years in the Tennessee and Florida areas and do exactly want you are getting ready to do. Currently, I am saving and focusing on buying and hold.

No worries. I forgot to mention the brand I mentioned has increased functionality by having a touch screen standard and the ability to move the screen 180 degrees into a tablet if you desire. If you have AMEX, look at the perks. I think there is a deal right now for the total amount spent.

I landed on the ASUS from Best Buy. Last year my MAC pooped the bed too, and at the best time, during finals and at the high of the pandemic in California. I think the brand name is Harman and was under $1000. It has been a great work computer so far, and I have not had any issues.
