@Pierre Beaunegre There have been a lot of BP members that have been meeting on the last Wednesday's of the month in Farifield. It's free and at a local bar, I will PM you more details if interested.

@Account Closed is also arranging a meet-up in Hartford, and I am sure that will be a good meet-up as well.

Hi all Connecticut investors we have had great meet-ups at Anna Liffey's in Fairfield, and looking forward to seeing everyone in 2015 at the next meet-up!

It's at a local bar, and it's 100% free, with no pitching, lectures or other. The meet-up is from 7pm - 9pm, and around 7:45pm everyone has been introducing themselves to the group.

It's casual so dress however you feel most comfortable. One request is to please buy one drink (non-alcoholic is fine) from the bar to support Anna Liffey's for allowing us to use their space.

We have had buy-and-hold investors, rehabbers, wholesalers, agents, commercial brokers, lenders, syndicators, a BP podcast guest, attorneys, and other service professionals from all over the state of Connecticut.

[HELPFUL PARKING TIP: Anna Liffey's is located @ 1494 Post Road, Fairfield CT 06824 (http://annaliffeys.com/), and the back room is reserved for us. FYI: ANNA LIFFEY'S IS ACROSS THE STREET FROM VICTORIA'S SECRET, AND THERE IS A FREE PUBLIC PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET AFTER

Also, if you're from any of these areas or know someone that is that might benefit from the meet-up, please invite them: Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, Middlesex, New London, Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Bridgeport, Stratford, Trumbull, Wilton, Weston, New Canaan, Easton, Milford, Shelton, Ansonia, Orange, West Haven, East Haven, Branford, Hamden, Naugatuck, Wallingford, Middletown, Cheshire, Woodbridge, Danbury, Newtown, Oxford, Southbury, Middlebury, Waterbury, New Britain, Bristol, Meriden, Southington, Newington, Madison, New London, Killingworth, Seymour, Plainville, Bethel, Redding, Guilford. There's no doubt that I missed more cities, so please let your colleagues know to come.

Post: Mailing Lists: Click2Mail vs. ListSource

@Brandon G. I have never used mail2click so I really can't opine on comparing the two sites.

There are a lot of dead leads right off the bat through Listsource, and most of our Listsource leads for us do not materialize. (From our mailers, more than 86% do not respond, and of the 8 - 14% that do respond, most of them are tire-kickers.)

But we've gotten deals from out Listsource mailers, so something is working and we've been happy (to date) with the results. With all that said. I always would like to keep more money in our pockets, so if Mail2Click is a very similar product at a lower cost, please keep me posted.

@Chris Parker I echo a lot of the thoughts above.

One of the amazing things about real estate is that there are so many unique and different skills that will help you do well. Like @Jesse T. mentioned there are so many majors that can help.

Good luck with whatever you choose, and please keep us posted on your progress!

@Brandon G. Initially I also found Listsource to be expensive, but when I spoke to a customer service rep (like @John Horner mentioned above) I was able to get that price down significantly. I actually found the Listsource person through BP.

Thanks @Zaid R. for the AgentPro247 tip.

(Unfortunately, I have no affiliation to any of these data mining sites.)
