@Wendell De Guzman
Thanks, Wendell! That is kind of funny how that works, huh? (I love Fullerton, by the way) I hope your enjoying Chicago.

My main objective is cash flow.
My strategy was to get an FHA loan for a multi-unit property and start earning some cash from it. I would like to buy-and-hold the property and try to save up for another property as soon as possible to start this process over.

Your right about cash flow not going to be easy here in Southern California. Prices are extremely high and moving up quickly.
I think i would do well with flipping, but don't have the capital to start that venture yet.

What do you think? How do you feel the market is doing in Chicago? Any locations you notice do great with the cash flow market of multi-unit rentals?
Thanks in advance!

@Benjamin Winokur
Thanks, Benjamin. I am unsure if I would be better off investing in SoCal because it is my current backyard, but expensive, or if I am better off starting somewhere close to my original home in Chicago, where prices are low (& my planed permanent residence).

Last week when i looked on 'Zillows market guide' it showed certain California home values to increase in many areas 18%. YIkes! Yet Chicago's prediction was 2%. How accurate these 'estimates' are, I am yet to see. Thank you for your suggestion on getting together with some of the Local REA's. I'm all about socializing & networking and will join shortly. One thing I noticed was a yearly membership cost. Is this typical? I would assume those costs go towards the organization of the meetings.
Thanks again!
