@Geordy Rostad Thanks so much for the information. On one of the BP podcasts, last year, the interviewee mentioned he added storage units to generate more income, but didn’t mention the rent/cost. $25 a month sounds like a good start. Thanks you!

This is probably an unusual question, but have any landlords added rentable tenant storage space to their existing apartments? If so, what are the sizes of your "storage units" and the associated monthly rent charged? I have a room that is about 25 ft. x 50 ft. and I will either convert it to a 1 bedroom unit or add storage units/lockers. Most likely, I will use my contractor to build them out, but this link will give you an example of what I am considering: https://www.wirecrafters.com/products/storage-lockers/tenant-storage-lockers/  Or, I'm considering the after photos found here: http://www.giantindustrial.com/photo-gallery.php

Thank you, Sanjeev and Jo-Ann. I was able to refinance with a traditional bank. However, I am pulling cash out to purchase additional properties. So, I may need both of your services in the future. I'm looking to continue investing in the Central Valley.

I'm looking for recommendations for community or regional banks to refinance an apartment complex in Bakersfield. Any referrals would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Hi Paul:

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm a bit confused regarding your control over property with ownership. Is it included in the Chapter 10 you mentioned?

Thank you for your time.

Linda

Hello BP members:

I am a newbie to REI, even though I've owned a 40 unit apartment complex for over 10 years. I cannot believe the plethora of information contained on this site, so I'm quite excited to jump right in, networking and learning! My background is legal, however I would like to round out my financial portfolio with additional buy and hold REI's.

I hope to find other like-minded investors who would be interested in sharing/exchanging experiences and knowledge. This year, my immediate goal is to purchase an additional multifamily dwelling (possibly before July) as daily, I monitor the Fed. Fund rate. Like many of you on this site, I’ve been watching Janet Yellen, hoping for status quo!

Warm regards,

Linda
