@Jay Levy @Collin Hays @John D. @Jaquetta T Raglandthank you for the very thoughtful responses.@John Underwood no HOA, and @Erik Stenbakken we made sure we were in an area that allowed STRs before we submitted an offer.

Appreciate the feedback everyone!

Just got a house under contract in Tahoe and already we’re having problems. Apparently 3 of our future neighbors were harassing my agent today at the property because they found out we’re turning it into a (legal) Airbnb.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any fall out or bad reviews from neighbors harassing guests at your STR? My business partner is worried this might affect potential revenue if future guests have to deal with a hostile environment.

Please let me know how you’ve handled this situation (and if it even matters at all). Thanks in advance!

Super excited as my business partner and I just got an offer accepted for our first STR! The property will be in South Lake Tahoe, and we know we have some work to do to get this puppy ready for showtime.

With that in mind, any experienced Tahoe investors here know where we can go for:

1. Furniture (should we search in the Bay Area or are there good deals locally?)

2. Professional photographer

3. A great handyman

4. Professional cleaning service.

Thank you in advance for the recommendations!

Good to know, thank you!

@Elise Marquette why don't lenders consider STR income for refinancing purposes?

2 suggestions for you @Santonio Cathery. If you want to follow the DIY approach, plug in your address to https://www.airdna.co/airbnb-calculator. Take the data with a grain of salt, but it will give you a good idea of what similar properties near you are charging.

If you want to follow the "autopilot" approach, I'd recommend https://beyondpricing.com/. Good luck either way!
