@Claire Trammell I've been listening to quite a few of them lately. Do you have any that you would recommend? 

Man, was it hard. I stared at the computer screen for a solid 15 minutes before I could click the button for the payment to process. Being a noob I almost feel like I just tossed hundreds of dollars into the wind. Just in case this does work and the phone does start ringing here and there i'm going to get my head back into the forums and books to prepare. 

I did it. I sourced a leads list and ordered some postcards to be sent out 02/25/2016. 893 leads on the list I currently have together. Targeting absentee owners for this marketing push. I think now i'm more afraid someone will actually call, haha. Thanks for all the information BP. You guys are awesome! Here's to a better 2016. 

@Justin Burkelo, I actually have a couple agents I can probably work with. I will talk with them and see how that goes. Can you explain the significance of including the 1-357000 total assessed value parameter while compiling the list above? 

Great thread. I'm about to purchase my first list from list source. This was a big help in narrowing the field. The only parameter I'm having issues with is finding the median sales price for Fort worth. Any idea? 

Pam, what is the importance of TELLING everyone what I'm doing? is it a motivation thing or more for the word of mouth association?

I just saw this post! It's great to see people in the area, I'm a strong believer that there is power in numbers. The more like minded people you have around you the better. I'm going to try and make Saturdays DFWREI meeting and see how that goes. I would love to find someone to mentor me through the wholesaling process and then further into different areas of real estate investing. Like you, my goal is to create passive income and then long term wealth. Taking that first step sure is scary though.

Hey guys and gals, 

I'm looking to network and attend some REI meetings in the Fort Worth area. Do any of you from around the area have any advice on local meetings or groups? I'm looking to network with investors and wholesalers that wouldn't mind taking someone under their wing. I have located the DFWREI group which appears to meet every Saturday unless otherwise noted. So that's a start. Is there anyone on the forums here that would like to link up? You guys have a great day and happy hunting!
