New Investor, New to The Forums and New to Wholesaling!!!

Hey guys and gals,

I just wanted to throw out an introduction to the community. I've been reading up on, and mostly dreaming about, real estate investing for years. Mostly, up till this point, two things have kept me from pulling the trigger on really diving into this. Lack of substantial investment funds and a little fear of trying something so new. I mean, you're dealing with homes, lives and money. It can be intimidating. I've got a 5 year plan that basically insures within 5 years I will have a substantial amount of money to help progress my investment portfolio but in the meantime I've been really looking into wholesaling properties. It almost seems too good to be true, to be honest. I took my first step this week and started to compile, in excel, a list of potential investors. Many of which I collected by browsing the forums here. 26 of you to be exact. I'm very excited for the potential this opportunity presents. I work full-time at a pretty successful JOB, my wife goes to school full-time and we have a little on the way. I really like the possibility of an investing career that could lead to flexibility in my work schedule. These set 8-5 hours are for the birds. I'm located in south Fort Worth and will be trying to make some of the meetings here soon. If you made it through this post I am much obliged. Take care, looking forward to talking with, discussing and potentially meeting some of you!

I would tell both of you that the first thing you need to do is TELL, LET EVERYONE KNOW what you are doing.  Start with your family, friends and CO_WORKERS.   If you have a job; you have an advantage.   But YOU need to LET people KNOW what YOU are DOING!!!  Don't just depend on postcards and letters; this is something the GURUS do not tell you.
