Hello everyone,

I have finally returned home after a year and I am looking to connect with fellow investors. I would love to meet with some of you all from the NY/NJ area for dinner or coffee.

I plan on being very active in the REIA of NYC over the coming months so hopefully I see some of my fellow BP members there!

@Shawn Ackerman Thanks for the invitation! I have joined an REI Meetup group and will look to attend at least one meeting a week starting out when I get home. I am willing to do work, I believe relationships should benefit both parties and I would be very appreciative of anyone willing to put time in with me.

I am new to REI and I have been reading, listening to podcasts, and researching every chance I get for the past two months in preparation for this post. I do not expect to establish this relationship without contributing to it. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan but whatever I can do from here, I am willing to do it.

@Matt Harris do you mind if I PM you as well? I am from Rochester, NY and would love to buy and hold a few investment properties there. @Aqil Dharamsey I would be interested in learning more about your property management experience in the Rochester area. Do you specialize in a specific neighborhood? Are there neighborhoods you advise against? I grew up on the East side near East High but I moved about eight years ago so I'm sure a lot has changed.

@Chris Sean Have you already decided on the zip codes you will focus on? I have begun to look at investing in Cleveland as well as NYC is way too expensive; I am glad that you asked these questions. Thank you everyone for such insightful answers!
