@Mina Shirey things are still going very well. July 2021 I received 1/4 of my investment back and I’ve seen solid equity and preferred returns even through the pandemic. DeRosa does a wonderful job managing their assets and they are transparent about everything that’s going on. Each month you’ll get a newsletter update, which also can be accessed in your investor portal. I’d say go for it!

@Brandon Cohen this is great advice, thanks! I have decided to do some cosmetic work and do some updates to the bathroom. I should have it ready for sell by next weekend.

The property is in NY. 

I am looking to turn over my unit ASAP but I need to get a total rehab done as the tenants did not leave the place in top shape. I need new appliances, floors restored, paint, recessed lighting put in, and more. Please let me know if you have any recommendations.

***UPDATE***

I received my first payments from the syndication deal last month. I was pleasantly surprised because I hadn’t anticipated anything coming back until early next year with all of the value add efforts taking place. 

It is looking like this is going to be a great deal.

@David Rowley the DMV is very expensive, in most cases, for what you get. I decided to go with the apartment syndication as I perform market research and learn more about multifamily and commercial real estate investment.
