Is it normal for hud or the asset manager to ONLY contact the person who's offer was accepted?

The bid submission deadline for all properties I see listed on hud.gov in the extended period have a deadline of midnight, daily.  Do offers have to be resubmitted daily?

Your agent can log in to their Hudhomestore account and if another bid was accepted the status will be OBS (Other Bid Selected).

Your agent will not be contacted if your bid is not accepted and during the extendedperiod bids are reviewed daily M-F

 Just for clarification.....I submitted my bid on Sunday (the day extended period opened).  The asset manager reviews the offers on Monday.  Lets say they don't like any of the offers submitted.  The bidding period ends daily at midnight.  When the asset manager reviews the bids on Tuesday, is my bid still being considered or would I need to resubmit?

Go to your local real estate investors meet up.  Get to know investors, contractors, real estate agents, etc.  Post ads on craigslist in the services section.  Search BP to see who is in your area and introduce yourself.  Go visit the property management offices in the area you want to serve.

@Greg H. @Michael Dyakiv

The numbers work and I'm confident this one will go beyond list price.

@James Wilcox

Great insight.  I've been considering this for about a year.  Originally, I decided against getting my license.  Since then I've struggled to find a good investor friendly agent.  I've started working with a new agent a few weeks ago.  I haven't worked with her long enough to know if she's a good fit.  Only time will tell.

Thanks everyone.  I changed my bid amount by a little, but the bid is in.  I'll let you all know what happens.

I'm interested now because when I'm not on duty, I will have the time and focus to study here for the next 9 months.

I am not interested in selling houses full time when I return to Ky, only as a benefit to being an investor.

If there is nothing to gain for me doing it now, then I will wait.  As stated in my original post, I don't even know if its possible.

I visited the krec website before searching the forum here.  I'm hoping someone can chime in with their experience with a particular school/program.

If I could go back, I would have started when I was your age.

Start crushing it now!  Take action now.  Find a mentor and go from there.

If I can use it while away, then yes.  I've realized quickly that I don't like relying on agents to get things done for me.  I want access to the mls, the ability to submit my own offers and view properties asap (when I get to Louisville).

I hope you land the job.  I miss Louisville!

What they said!

Also, believe it or not, I posted a craigslist ad seeking mentorship about a year ago and I had a few people contact me.  I couldn't believe it.
