Thank you all for your input. This property would be used for income and very rarely used for my personal vacation. I had a friend who invested in a condo in a resort in Myrtle Beach. HOA fees seem high. Do any of you guys have any knowledge of condo/resort type of investment?

Does anyone have any experience is vacation rentals? I'm just north of Charlotte, NC and have played with the idea of mountain cabin rentals and ocean front rentals. Good investment/bad investment? Upsides? Struggles? Any thoughts on the topic would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
