Chas, i was stationed in ft old from 06-13 and i know plenty of people who have started from there! look into the 4 plexs in a decent area. the normally make 500-700 depending on where and how nice. make sure you do ur research and find a really good property management company. that is the biggest thing to find down there! 

@Justin Scarborough get with a local realtor and have them look in the MLs there is plenty of farm land for sale! if you are looking around the columbus area ( franklin and all surrounding county ) I will gladly assist in this search. 

what all do you need done i know several people in the area.

Yes we currently have a meeting once a month in dublin at yogis bar and grill. i think its the 1st monday of the month might be the 1st Tuesday but its one of those two days. 

@Jason Kha  You are on the east side of cbus not the south end. you are just north of bexley still inside of the outer belt, its a rough area. plan to have a high rate of turn over and people who will never keep great care of the house while they rent. do you plan to accept section 8 ? there will be a lot of people with section 8 in the area. if you want to deal with those issues it looks like it will be a great deal.

@Sean Harold Welcome to BP! and central Tx huh, I'm assuming FT. Hood? I was stationed at Ft. Hood form 06-2013 with 1bct 1st cav. Anyways do some research into wholesaling in ohio it is a giant debate right now if its legal or illegal. the 100% legal way to do it is buying it and then selling it right away for a profit. the issue because when you are selling a contract and not the property my advice is talk to a good real estate lawyer! if you head to the columbus area id love to meet up for a beer or a coffee and i can give you some numbers to great guys who can help with a lot of things! 

@Dev Horn Yes you are right most of the people posting here the wholesaling is illegal in ohio are agent/attorneys. No its not because we care if you make money wholesaling that we could make. Its because regardless of what people think we as licensed sales people in ohio have to take REAL ESTATE LAW classes in college as part of out license. So as we take these classes we have to learn what is legal and ILLEGAL in ohio. its a simple concept really the people who have the classes and went to school to study this topic are simply trying to educate others so they don't get in trouble. but some people simply don't listen. 

@Jorvon Smith welcome and yes please read up on wholesaling in ohio. As stated most real estate agents and real estate lawyers in ohio will tell you its illegal and we will show you all the  document to prove it. other people here will tell you its fully legal but have no documented facts with it. it really boils down to if you wish to take the chase of being fined or not and if you think the state will come after you or not. 

i agree its worth about a million and there are deals out there close to that. i was looking at one for a investor friend of mine earlier today not sure he will pull the trigger tho.
