BP friends, it has been a while for me to get back into the groove. A lot has happened over the past couple of years that have enlightened me to return to the vast knowledge and network of friends that BiggerPockets provides. I have taken many steps forward to regain my footing and am ready to help take our teams to the next level.

I am looking for local meetups, lunch/dinner meetings, realtors, wholesalers, lenders, etc. just to continue to meet new people in and around San Antonio to Austin. I look forward to meeting some of you over the next couple of weeks at Multi-family meetings.

As always, be great and make it yours!

Jeff

I guess I have somehow found my way into living in one of the hottest real estate markets and have no idea how to tap in. Advice from anyone on who to contact, what to say, or just sit on the sidelines and watch other people achieve their goals. I'm broke, no creditors will look my way. I am academically successful and have a great job. Money management is where I need to start, this I know. But what does that mean. How dumb is that living in the richest country in history and I don't know how to manage money. Now I know I can't be the only person who has no clue, looking for advice if anyone has any. Jeff

Hello BP friends, I looking for a CPA and a Lawyer in the New Braunfels area to join my team. I am just starting up and currently have one house in another state that I am renting out. I would also like to build a list of like minded people who may one day become great friends. I have been in the New Braunfels area for just over two months now and have little experience with the area. Anyone interested in giving advice would be greatly appreciated. Jeff

Hello BP friends, I have been listening to or reading motivational podcasts, videos, seminars, books, etc for many months and years. I have made great strides in going all in on me and trusting that I can do anything I want and will not head to Murphy's Law. I live by the Law of Attraction and attract positive thinking and actions to my life. The one area that I have not overcome my fear yet is becoming wealthy, that is obtaining a large amount of money or possessions. I would like to give a hypothetical scenario and see if I can spark a conversation. Suppose someone decides to bank $1M over a 7 month period. This person starts with $0 and wants to put $142,857.14 a month in cash in 7 months. What would they need to do within the borders of the law to obtain such an unachievable goal? I hope there is some great discussion on this. As always be awesome and keep dreaming. @Mark Perry Thanks for your input and a pleasure to have this discussion with you. To answer your question I am looking to connect with both types of groups. General connections with investors no matter what their niche is because from what I have learned so far this is a people business and making relationships is what it is all about. So to meet other like minded people is a neccessity. Along with that I do need to meet people who are entrenched in the rehabbing business to gain knowledge and relationships with "the competition". That is the mindset I have for myself, currently looking to connect with people who I can learn from and get advice from or just to see and hear their stories.

Well strike two, I would like to believe there are more investors in my area than what showed up to the REIA gathering tonight. I guess I did not get the memo there was no meeting tonight. Not sure what happened but I did not even have my calls returned by the organizer. Realize my education and experience will have to come from BP and school of hard knocks.

Have to ask, I know of 3 vacant properties.  Foreclosures more than likely. How can I find someone to contact for information? I can find the previous owners but they have been foreclosed on would you still contact them?
