New to the area and new to real estate - New Braunfels, TX

Hello all...  My name is Tom and I recently retired from the military.  I am very interested and motivated to start my real estate investing business.  I am currently reading J Scott's books - Thank you J - and have been working my way through the Podcasts.  It is time to work for myself and control my own lifestyle and future after so many years of doing what I was "ordered" to do.  Very much looking forward to starting in networking and meeting people that I can learn from.  I am thinking I am mainly interested in flipping to start; but am interested in expanding into other things as I learn and grow in the business as others have done before me.  I have some savings but like many I am interested in breaking in as cheaply as possible and look forward to learning more on how to go about doing that.  I THINK I am pretty well located in a growing area right between Austin and San Antonio, TX.

Thanks and I look forward to learning from and networking with the Bigger Pockets community.

Regards,

Tom

Hello Tom English Welcome to the forums and congrats on your retirement. I'm currently active and have another 7+years in the Air Force remaining. I'm also in New Braunfels and look forward to seeing you on here. Let me know if I can be of any help to you. There are many knowledgeable folks on here that are willing to help any question? Big or small.
