@LaShelle S. I'd encourage you to attend a local meet up in your area. You can find them on eventbrite.com, and meetup.com, and go meet other investors in your area in person. This will be the best way for you to build authentic relationships with other investors as fast as possible.

@Matthew Sipes I'd tour the property with a contractor. They can give you an accurate estimate on how much you should budget for the renovations,

@Justin Pearson The way we've found our GCs is through word of mouth referrals. If people I know and trust have had success with a GC, then it's more likely they're good.

I'd go to a local meet up in your area and ask around to see what GCs other investors in your market use. Try meetup.com or eventbrite.com for meet ups in your area.

@Kumar Suppiah I'd try to build a relationship with someone who is local to your investment markets. Find someone you trust who can keep an eye on the property for you.

@Stanley Russell I'd start with self-education through the plethora of free resources online. Biggerpockets has a podcast and a great youtube channel. You should start there!

Also, if you find a meetup in your area, you can go there to network and find an investor who is doing deals. You can bring them value and offer your time (to find a deal by cold calling, for example), in exchange for them teaching you how to flip.

@Asdrubal Ramos You could search websites like realtor.com and redfin to find properties, and then reach out to the realtors listed for your needs.

@Phil Cecere I'd encourage you to attend a local meetup in your area and network with other investors in your specific market. There, you can ask around and see who other investors have had success using.

You can find meetups at eventbrite.com or meetup.com

@Konnor Lange This reminds me of a subject to deal, but less advantageous. I'd do a subject to. Here's more info on that:

@Christopher Jackson I'd ask other investors in your market which realtors they use. Go to meetup.com, or eventbrite.com, and find a local meetup. Then, go and ask around. You might even find a realtor there. Make sure to ask them what their experience is. I think it's mainly based on how well and familiar they are with the "investor language." If you know it, you can tell when others do/don't.
