Josh
This was another Mortgage Company who was also a bank, The only reason Fannie and Freddie are still here is they do not fall under the FDIC.
If you take 2005's M-3 compare it against the true capital, there is a multiple of 33 to 1 of "vapor paper" to real money. If you include CDO's it is over 50 to 1. The banking system can support 10 to 1
the next 6 months will be fun

the next bunch will pressure the "Quasi Govermental Entites" to get this over or the midterm elections will go against the winners in Nov.

I'm mapping out my next education move, too. Though I will probably not go with any Rich Dad products.

I think Rich Dad Poor Dad was a good motivational book. It does a great job at inspiring unsavvy investors to get a financial education. But I think for getting the actual education I'd speculate there may be better (lower investment cost yet higher return) avenues.

I love the power of the Internet for getting feedback on this stuff. I think everyone with a blog should post a link to this thread with the keywords along the lines of 'Rich Dad Seminars' as the anchor text. That will probably get this thread close to number 1 in Google's search results, then we'll get tons more feedback.

You either make your money thru real estate or not.....
These guys are platform sales not investors. I know a lot of People at Whitney, not much real estate done

We have 2 speakers locally, who will teach you how to get rich from foreclosures. They are on the list they are selling.

The books are written in asuch a way to pump you up to get you into the seminar. All good platform sales start with emotion and motivation. Good business starts with numbers and knowledge. Kiyosaki claims to be a Marine, I can not find him in the DOD database. He lost me on that.
thats my 2 cents

Here is SWFL, Indymac's foreclosure filings are really kicking up a notch. I think Sheila's people found the closet where they hid all the bad paper.

I slept through macro and micro Econ and now I am paying the price. I always assume that any "flation" is bad.

Assuming we're headed for regular old inflation, what makes a good investment?

Where we are heading requires hard assets that can generate revenue. The banks are broke. When they go bad, shareholders and unsecured debt holders go frist, plus anyone with over 100,000 in the account, 50 cents on the doolar is the going offer
Problem is the FDIC is about of cash

Good old CASH FLOWING REAL ESTATE is the way to go right now

Just interested to see what kind of traffic I need to get?

1,000 hits per day? I'm not really sure what is considered good traffic.

about 800 hits a day

I am going to remove Google adsense from my site. The revenue stream dropped when they changed the hot areas of the ads. I may check out adbrite.

But overall I'm not focused much on my web venture, and haven't been for a while, so I may not be the best source of advice.

I just logged into my CJ account, got a 98.00 balance, Its pretty cool.

It appears that way because AG played with the Fed Funds rate to benefit the Dem's. FYI, I am a Libertarian. The Dem’s are not liberal enough for me; the Republicans are not conservative enough for me. Where is Carl Jung when you need him?
Go back and look.
Every time the Fed Funds rate breaks 5 percent, it becomes a drag on the economy 9 to 12 months later. Most corp.'s are 80 percent leveraged with a 5 percent bottom line.

Look at the rate changes when AG ran the Show. 9 to 12 months out from an election he starts playing with the Fed Funds rate.

He inflated his way out of a recession in 2001 and now we are paying the bill.

the election is funny. We have a communist that is trying to look like a socialist and a socialist who is trying to look like a capitalist.
Anyone who wants to be the president should be allowed to. Just grab an old man from the counter at the diner.

Too bad they cant attack totally by water. We would have TONS of screen door subs ready to counter....

War is very fast and brutal now. Its all about who has the best toys. They would not have a chance.

I have a guy I was in the USMC with, He is Cuban, she is Polish, they just had a baby. I look foreward to the christening. Its fun to watch the two sides of the world interact.
