Post: Texarkana Texas??Opinions on area for multifamily investing

Hello All....

I was wondering about the Texarkana region of Texas for investing in Multifamily property...I don't know the area and I was just wondering what the opinion is of the area....is it a dead zone or does it have potential for some future growth or at the least, a good place to invest for stable cash flow.

I spoke with some brokers today and I got two very different viewpoints...one guy flat out said it sucks and my money would be better spent elsewhere and another painted a rosy picture with lots of business and transportation going on in the area...I would love to get the opinion from people here on BP as I value my fellow investors in the area with boots on the ground.

I realize its not one of the hotter markets that is in the news all the time...I am looking for a good stable market that isn't dying and has potential for at least some future growth.....

thanks for the help

Jeff

Hi Kim...

I hear what you are saying for sure...I have done the Dave Lindahl mentoring so I know you and Gene by association ( I guess I could ask you!)...I am educated in the area just trying to get my own deals under my belt..you are right..i would need to bring something to the table,,,I would bring, the deal, some potential investors, asset management once it closes and all the legwork....I would want to do all the work just to get the experience...I have deals I am currently underwritng that I am looking at...I just need to get the goods ones over the finish line...

I am looking for an experienced apartment building syndicator and/or sponsor to partner with me on an apartment building syndication to help me get over the hump on buying a bigger deal that what I have done in the past....I am looking to get to the next level and need someone with a track record in apartments to help me get this done...

I will do ALL the work if necessary, just give me my marking orders and I will get it done and you can reap all the rewards with not too much work or time invested on your part...

I am serious an someone who would be good to partner with....let's start a conversation about how we might be able to work together...thanks

Post: Is Killeen texas a good market to be in?

I was curious about Killeen Texas....I know this is a  very military dependent economy but I have read some articles that mentioned Killeen was expecting the population to double by 2050..

Does anyone out there have an opinion about Killeen...being only 65 miles from Austin, is it a market to avoid or one worth investing in?

Is this a growing area or not? Is it too challenging to have rentals in? I am curious what everyone's opinion is of the area and what your experiences have been.

I have worked with peter extensively, He is the real deal and a man of his word. If you do the work, you will get results...I found him to be very trustworthy and honest. I recommend him highly. Not every partnership is a good fit. If someone doesn't gel with a particular coach or mentor, doesn't mean the person doesn't have value....it just means it wasn't a good fit. Keep plugging away and you will find your success....Your success is based on the work YOU put in.... Again...from my perspective...thumbs up for Peter!
