I heard he's coming to houston and the tickets are free does anyone know anything about this?

Welcome to the BP! I'm also new and live Pearland. I'm sure there are plenty things we will both benefit from in the future if we get in contact.

@Kenneth E. Thank you, that's pretty awesome. Seems like a huge time saver, it's really surprising no one took more interest in this.

Ah. Spanish speakers like money too :)

I'd go around with flash cards with the specific information you are looking for. Make sure you let them know you are an investor interested in the house and the owner.

no joke I just downloaded a App that translates for me hahaha!

I just takes persistence and time. The most successful investors I know who now control millions in real estate assets all started with just one house. Put your small budget to work and learn the craft. You'll get there.

True, Thank You!

@Saim Chaudhry I did not have a major amount of capital to start off with, but I rolled up my sleeves and got to work! You just have to jump right in and never stop learning.

Thanks for you're opinion, if you wouldn't mind I would like to get in contact you and hear the marketing strategies you and using along with the success you've had with them.

@Aaron Mazzrillo Sure, you could go ride a bike around neighbors and eventually you might find a junker house you can get under contract, but while you're out wasting your time doing that, wholesaler throwing a few thousand a month into their marketing budget are banking some serious fees every month.

See that makes the most sense in my opinion. the bigger the market budget, the easier to grow your business. I don't think its impossible to grow with a small budget but it seems a hell of a lot harder. Thank you for your input!

I've searched around and haven't found a solid answer for this due to all the "wholesaling takes NO money" stuff that is all over the web. While I guess that may be true if you plan on trying to get in without a Marketing Campaign or attempting to stand out from everyone else doing the same exact thing, which to me would seem like you would get very little if any lasting success but I could be wrong.

So my question is this, Starting out as a wholesaler would I be using my time more efficiently lets say:

Working with a contracting company full time, saving for a bigger budget towards a marketing campaign, Branding myself, ect, ect. Gaining knowledge in what repairs cost, and also networking as much as much I can in that time.

vs

Jumping right in, having a low budget for marketing, working my butt off hoping I beat someone to a deal, and saving the money I get from this to grow my budget and my business. While I network as much as I can?

I'm not one of the people in here looking for some get rich quick thing, I'm a hard worker willing to invest my time to build my business properly with a good foundation. I am a FIRM believer that you will only get out as much as you put in.

With all that said what would you suggest as a solid marketing budget to start with from your experience?

@Aaron Montague

Thank you for the reply. The only issue with talking to the neighbors is that in the area I've been targeting they only speak Spanish so I end up trying to play charades with them and have no luck haha. Ill keep digging and using google to see what I can find. And I apologize that a lot of my original post made no sense, I wrote it half asleep.
