You're completely right! Something I've learned is that even when I try things I know don't fit me, it usually leads me to knowledge I never would have gained, or opportunities I would have never known existed(like you said) had I not gave it a try. In my opinion finding opportunities and achieving success has a lot to do with how willing you are to get out of your comfort zone, try new things, and test your limits regardless of if you'll fail or what anyone else thinks. Obviously I'm no expert but these are just my thoughts about it.

Not too sure what happened to my last reply so here it is again.

Thank you all for the positive replies!

@James Wise

"welcome to the site."

Thank you for the welcoming!

@Dennis Rodriguez

"Set your key words and that way you will know when people are taking about Houston or Pearland or whatever you are interested in. That's how you'll know about the meet-ups and start to get to know everyone"

Very helpful tip I just set my key words up, I appreciate it!

@Deidra Hubenak

"Have you been to any of the real estate networking meetings in Houston yet? That would be a good way to learn too."

No I wasn't even aware that they had any until now, but tomorrow I'm going to be riding around with a investor that lives near me, hopefully I'll learn a thing or two. I'll be sure to look into the meetings when I get a chance, thank you!

@Sharon Tzib
"You've got the right attitude, Jay, which is far more valuable than anything else!! Welcome to BP!"

Thank you very much! You seem to have a lot of energy which goes a long way as well!

@Christopher Hunter
"Welcome to BP. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with in the way of information. Patience is key in this business or any other buisness."

I appreciate the tip I'll be sure to keep that in mind, and I will definitely shoot you a message if I ever need some info! Thank you.

@Antonio Chasten

"Everyone that has commented so far is absolutely right! Stay strong, determined and focused and you can conquer the world.

If I had your attitude at 21 then I would have gotten to the point where I'm at now a long time ago, no doubt.

Welcome to BP and good luck to you on your REI future."

If I can't conquer the world I'm going to at least shoot to get pretty close to it! I don't know the point you're at now but I hope someday I can get there with you! Thank you for the encouragement.

@Dmitriy Fomichenko
"Welcome to BP community @Jay Lozano! It is a great place to meet new friends and learn about various aspects of real estate and more. Here are a few recommendations for you:

If you wish to tag someone in the conversation on the forum, type @ followed by their name and then select that person below. He or she will be notified of being tagged so that the conversation will continue.

Wishing you the best!"

Thank you for the tip, hopefully soon I'll be able to have this site down a bit better! And after I post this I'll check out the links you posted, I appreciate it man!

And to everyone, sorry it took me so long to get back to you! Your tips, advice, and encouragement are very much appreciated!

Jay.

Hello BP, my name is Jay, I'm 21 years old from Houston Texas born and raised. I spend a lot of my time these days studying/exploring creative/new ways of doing and perceiving things.(business, problems, life, ect..) I'm pretty open minded, I focus a lot on my future and developing into the man I want to become.

I made a lot of bad decisions in my past that affect the options I have in my future but I believe nothing can stop me but me. I plan on opening a boys harbor and a couple shelters around my city someday. I want to show people (especially younger people) that no matter your circumstances and no matter your past that no dream is out of reach, anything is possible.

I know this isn't the normal introduction but I just wanted to introduce the real me and a couple of the things I want accomplish in my life so you can somewhat get a feel of the overall reason I'm on here, and some of the fire that drives me. Real estate is a way I can create a strong foundation to build off of and make long term goals become a reality. I'm extremely excited about this and I'm looking forward to learning ALL I can from everyone on here! I'm also hoping to meet some like minded people and a good mentor willing to take time to teach me.

Thank you all, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone I can! Feel free to message me anytime!
