@Paul Welden

Thanks for the input. I have reached out to a few HUD consultants locally already, definitely a needed first step.

Any insight on being able to front some payments yourself to a contractor and then get reimbursed yourself from FHA? Read a bit about that as an opportunity to assist making it more appealing to a contractor.

Marcus, First off congrats!! Would you go with a 203k again? I have heard horror stories and am considering one myself. Also with a large rehab, what is the move in requirement with 203k FHA? Did you need to move in after renovation is fully completed or during?

Evaluating an older property for a potential 203k opportunity and would like to get input and a quote from a contractor experienced with 203k. Property currently is 2 residential units and commercial space. Plan would be to convert commercial space into 2 additional residential units and rehab the existing 2 residential units.

Like idea of the 3.5% down deal, also I would then have cash to assist in streamlining and accelerating contractor payments understanding the hurdles involved with 203k.

Any contractors with information to share good / bad OR those open to taking on a large 203k project , please feel free to reach out.

All. I am sending each of you a separate message with some additional info and my contact info.

My thought was getting the group of us together Monday morning for breakfast at the conference. As well as potentially at Khizar Hanif’s alternate happy hour on Sunday at 5:30pm.

We can then chat about a spot to huddle up after Monday / Tuesday sessions to compare notes etc.

Hope you are all as excited as I am for the conference

@Mike Koprowski I was not able to get tickets for Sunday before it sold out.

However, Khizar Hanif is organizing an alternative casual event Sunday at 5:30. If you reach out to him he will include you on the list and send details. @Khizar Hanif
