Hey all! Wondering your experiences as investors or wholesalers in NY. I'm in upstate NY, not the city. I'm just beginning but am planning on starting in PA (williamsport and Scanton) just for now. I keep hearing how there's not much money for wholesalers in NY and how the strict laws make it a huge headache. What do you guys think??

If any of you are looking for SFH in the area I'm in let me know. I'm in upstate NY but mostly focusing on PA. About an hr and half away from williamsport and Scranton just to give you an idea. Keep up the good work guys! And I hope some of you are taking vacations! Work hard, play hard!!

All of these are awesome! Congratulations on all of your accomplishments! Some of these are so specific and I think that's needed for success! I still need to find my niche so my goals are very broad right now. I'm very interested in short term rentals but I'm working on getting my foot in the door with wholesaling first. You all are amazing 👏 thanks for the inspiration!

@Krystopher Sullivan hey krys! It's nice to meet you. I'm actually not attempting to do any wholesaling here. NY, in particular, is pretty strict with real estate laws so I've heard that it's much harder to make money here in that way. I live in corning and would be interested in owning property here for sure but I'm starting in PA with this wholesaling gig. I haven't quite figured out where I will focus quite yet. I'm looking for some insight from investors. I'm thinking Scranton or Williamsport. Some people wholesaling only virtually! I don't feel quite comfortable with that yet. I'm going to be moving to NY at some point but starting in PA for now. If you ever want to talk connect with me! It's always good to have connections and even work together on deals sometimes. I have 1 other wholesaler who I'm planning on partnering with on some deals. I'm always open to discussing this as I'm still learning.

Post: Habitual Late Paying tenant! To evict or put up?

@Jacob Beg I suggest trying to find the problem and working with her to solve it (if you actually want to keep her). If she's a good tenant and has just fallen into a bad pattern I think it can be solved. Years ago I had an expense which caused me to pay rent late. Living paycheck to paycheck is not easy. Once you pay rent late once it DOES become a pattern. This person likely has no savings. I solved the problem with my landlords help. It wasn't something I WANTED to do but the only solution I could see. I told him I could not pay rent on time. I paid it late so I only had 2 checks to work with before rent was due again. My utilities were going to get shut off if I didn't pay them. My landlord gave me an eviction notice and I received help from an organization. It gave me time to catch up and we never had the issue again. Just wanted to add my experience here. Hopefully she will discuss the REAL problem with you. Seems like she may be avoiding you because she's ashamed and scared to get evicted. Possibly if you approach her kindly, the conversation is about solving the problem and you explain that you are trying to find a way to keep her it might work out.

@Jim K. I'm looking more to do this in PA to start. NY is a pain from what I've learned!

@Karl B. LOVE your response! Very similar to my goals except I have 5 girls already 😆 so I'm good on that part! But maybe not. I keep picturing myself adopting at some point. It's a strange thing in the back of my mind! I didn't expect the thread to be so personal but I'm loving all these responses!

@Jim K. Cool!! Hmmm It depends on what your asking about with corning lol. It's still a beautiful place to live. I'm just now in my 30s appreciating that. Horseheads and Corning have the highest property value around! I personally am happy I live here for now. My only complaint is I need to be out in the country! Peace and quiet.

@Jim K. Because I have no choice but to work my way up from nothing. I mean I'm saving as much as I can for investment but at the moment it's not enough. With my situation do you have a different idea? How did you start?
