Pretty simple question here.  Who is renting to section 8 tenants and who is not?  Why did you make that decision?

I'm asking because I'm pondering opening up one of my units to section 8, but I think this is a good topic anyway.

Congratulations @Jimmy Martz.  It's great to see another investor here in the OKC area doing well.  Hopefully we'll meet at one of the Meet-Ups around here sometime!

If you do proceed, ensure you understand the HOA requirements in detail. Just because they are currently leased now doesn't mean that it's authorized by the HOA. There could be a limit to the number of units that can be leased.

I'm faced with a good problem - I've acquired too many houses lately and my regular guy is not going to be able to help with all of them in a timely manner.  Any recommendations for a quality handyman in the Oklahoma City area?

Thank you everyone for your responses.  I am fine managing them myself for now, was just trying to plan for the future.  From what I have been able to gather Oklahoma is on par with national - 8%-10%.

Thank you for the comments everyone.  Yes, I have a full time job now, although work from home and set my own hours, so I plan on managing properties myself while I can.  What would help though is to understand how much to allot for a property manager.  @Rocky Griffin, do you mind sharing what the costs were with Josh?
