Section 8 in Oklahoma - Pros and Cons

Pretty simple question here.  Who is renting to section 8 tenants and who is not?  Why did you make that decision?

I'm asking because I'm pondering opening up one of my units to section 8, but I think this is a good topic anyway.

i manage quite a few section 8 units in town and there are some great things and bad things.  the 2 biggest negatives that keep me from renting most of my personal properties section 8 are.

-rent rates section 8 will pay in okc are generally below market for most areas i own in.  this is not true for all neighborhoods

-inspectors can drive you nuts and there is no uniformity at all in the process here in okc metro.  what passes with one inspector fails with another.
