Section 8 in Oklahoma - Pros and Cons
Pretty simple question here. Who is renting to section 8 tenants and who is not? Why did you make that decision?
I'm asking because I'm pondering opening up one of my units to section 8, but I think this is a good topic anyway.

i manage quite a few section 8 units in town and there are some great things and bad things. the 2 biggest negatives that keep me from renting most of my personal properties section 8 are.
-rent rates section 8 will pay in okc are generally below market for most areas i own in. this is not true for all neighborhoods
-inspectors can drive you nuts and there is no uniformity at all in the process here in okc metro. what passes with one inspector fails with another.
