Have you taken a look at redfin? They show the sold prices.  Make sure you use the web site and look for the filter part of it to just show the sale data.

We're going to try the metal corner/mud route and hope for the best. Worse case scenario, I can add the metal trim later if needed.

Great thread Lynn, very cool to watch your progress!

Thanks Wade.  I will look him up. To be more clear, I was thinking a fee based planner to help me roadmap the next few years.

I am a new investor here in Austin TX. I have loved the info on the bigger pockets podcasts and look forward to connecting with other investors. Please let me know your favorite places to meet other REI folks.

I saw Bryan Hancock mention Harold McGee's Big Daddy's Meetup at 183/Burnet on Thursdays for lunch.

I'm looking to make my first real estate investment this year. Seeking vacation rental property here in Austin, near downtown and have means to close quickly.

Cheers!

I'd love any referrals for financial planners in Austin TX.  Obviously someone with experience in real estate is a big plus.

He is talking about your own work to get property before a listing even hits MLS. Bandit signs, direct marketing, etc.
