My marketing in Iowa is starting to pick up and I'm getting some sellers who are interested in doing subject to deals. The most recent one is in Cedar Rapids.  Is anyone out there actively buying rentals and via subject to in Iowa?  Care to share any of your experience?

Thanks @Michael Liddicoat and @Deren Huang, good to hear both of your experiences.

How did you get it one that fast? Nice.

My wife is getting her RE license. How long did it take you to study and pass exam?

Any tips that helped you?  She recently ordered the books and likes them a lot better then reading the online material.

Bad idea. This is your business. Will they sign an exclusive with you to not work with anyone else? See what they really are worried about and address that.

I find myself explaining costs associated with flipping to agents A LOT.  They see big swings like buy for 200, put in repairs of 35 and sell for 300 and think you are going to make 65K(even though they are going to get paid as well on the sell side!)

Is there a good blog post you use to help explain this without typing it up every time?
