Post: Is a $10 REO worth it?

I live in a town where there is a predicted oil boom, already the housing prices have gone up at least 20k over the past 2 years. I am looking to find cheaper bank owned real estate to at least get my feet in. I found a couple of REO's that are transfer priced at $10 could anyone shed some light/insight on the REO purchases process and if these would be worth scooping up for the time.

Thanks in Advance

Josh M.

@Albertbui I feel that finance is one of the most important parts of real estate acquiring it, structuring it ect. How's your experience been using your major?

Hello BP I am currently going to school for a finance degree with a specialization in real estate. I was curious if anyone out there could give me an idea as to different career paths associated with it or anyone with experience in this field could shed some light on their path. Thanks Josh

Hello, I am a generally new investor.

I've always felt as if I have lived on a small island as far as it came to real estate investing (I live in a smaller/medium size town). After listening to a lot of The BP podcasts, I finally took some action and reached out to my local market through craigslist and of course BP. To my surprise I found that there were a lot more people than I expected and now I am building relationships with them. I feel more confident that I have taken another small step on the path to success.

So to all you other beginner real estate investors, who like me do a ton of reading and never really talk to anyone, get off your personal island and reach out to other investors around you, you never know who you might find.

Thanks a million

Joshua

I'd like to introduce myself to BP, my name is Josh I live in San Angelo, TX. I've been studying REI for the past 2 years while stationed in KY. I bought a few of the guru programs and a coaching program and learned rather quickly that everyone was looking to make some easy money and didn't really care to actually help if you needed it with your deals. I feel that now that I've found BP that heavens gates have opened for me, I love the vast information sources and the podcasts a great to listen to and always keep REI fresh on the mind. I currently own 1 rental property and would love to get into fix and flip but feel like every other beginner investor that finding first flip capital is like looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Now that I have found BP I feel that through networking and just talking to people that I will be able to overcome this challenge. Having said that thanks for having me BP I look forward to the ride.
