Hi, I know this thread does not concern me as I'm not a Real Estate investor BUT is a good read and I also live in California. I thought I'd post this to show you what I found on AVVO.  I found a reply from a Real Estate Attorney Licensed in California stating that a tenant buyer can assign his/her rights and market the property.. The attorney did not mentioned anything about the t/b needing to be a RE licensed to market this house that he/she doesn't own.
