@Joe Villeneuve I get that but, I still think you need to know how the market is doing but looking at statistics, historically via charts as well as knowing your "numbers"

Hello All!

I have been looking at different places to invest.

I am looking for advice on the best tool to use to help with appreciation, job growth, etc that would help me.

I have looked at a few tools, like zillow, trulia (to look at sold properties) but I was looking for more historical data on appreciation.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

@Brian Zoubek Thanks, I guess?  I'm not worried that I'll find something, no matter how long it'll take, just wanted to network on here with brokers/agents/etc so that I can get contacts...

Hello All!

I am new to biggerpockets.com and I was interested in networking with fellow investors, brokers, real estate agents.

I live in Manhattan, but I am looking for Multifamily/Apartment buildings in the following areas in Queens:

Astoria, Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Elmhurst, Ridgewood, Rego Park, Jamaica, Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill/South Richmond Hill.

Ideally, with subway near by and off street parking available.

My goal is for passive cash flow and buying/holding.

Thanks!

Ilona

Hello All!

I am brand new to real estate investing.

My current issue is this... I have a business (I'm in the food industry) that I currently devote a lot of time to....up to 40-60 hrs per week (including sales calls, shows, etc)

I would like to get involved in real estate investing however, I cannot devote a lot of time to it, possibly only a few hours (up to about 5hrs) per week. So for instance, I wouldn't have that much time to go look at properties (I'm also looking out of state to invest).

What type of investing would be beneficial to me?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Post: Turnkey Investing: Is it a good start for a newbie?

Hello All!

I am a complete newbie to the real estate market, although I have read tons of books and attended seminars, I have yet to make a deal.

I was wondering if I should start out by going to a turnkey company like Norada or HomeUnion to get started on investing?

What are your thoughts on this? and if you recommend a turnkey company, which ones are good ones to try?

Thanks!

Post: Rich Dad Coaching- anyone done it here?

Hello!

We just attended the 3 day Rich Dad real estate seminar.

We, thankfully, did not sign up for the "elite/mentor" courses or anything at all, for that matter. It was just way too much money.

We did however, learn quite a lot for the $299 we spent.

However... there seem to be warring factions between the "elite/mentor" and the rich dad coaching.

The coaching part seems interesting though because... they promise you 1 deal in the agreement and they coach you for 18 months. It has peaked our interest, why? although there are tons of books and I have been looking around here and reading, reading, reading.. I am finding that it is sooo much to wade through that I need to find a way to focus.

I am curious to find out if anyone has signed up for the coaching and not the elite/mentor training?

Thanks!
