its all relative to your personal experience and beliefs regarding this topic.
If you ask me, and thats of course if you ask I will tell you this.
We can all agree that in the digital fast paced age that we live in that TIME IS MONEY.
We can all agree that time is more valuable than money in most instances (Im sure ill get more support on this bullet point from the older BPers)
With the digital era of everyone making YouTube videos and claiming they are some expert and putting out information with no way to vet that information to know if its good information or not.
That 3rd fact to me makes me lean towards a mentor IF:
you can find the right one who can actually teach you...
show you by example what you need to do to become successful (ie: blueprint for success)
has a track record of successful students that have blazed a path before you showed up.
Look, If the right mentor can shave 10 years of mistakes and drastically shorten your learning curve in any given profession or sport I would bear the question. .
Why wouldn't you pay for a mentor? because time is money.
Do you think Tom Brady would have 9 trips to the Superbowl and 6 Super Bowl Championship victories without a coach?
A true coach/mentor should provide experience, value, insight and applicable knowledge to your profession or sport.
The right coach can make all the difference. So can the right mentor.
But in the end I suppose this topic much like many other topics on BPs forums is subjective to the reader based on their personal experiences be it positive or negative.
if you got the money, find the right mentor and go for it!!! Just be sure to do your due diligence on them prior to signing up and paying big $$$!!
