I have 3 Units Multi Home in CT. Currently my PM is manage the units BUT I had feeling that PM was not the person whom I can work long term (She is kind of keep talking and not listening..bad communication, no email/picture for any repair she did..etc..)
Now one of my tenant called that my PM discriminated the tenants (they want to report court etc... for discrimination ) I told tenant that sorry for hearing that I will work with tenant directly from now on if there is issue so told them text/call me directly and I will take care of the current issue (bath room/pest control)
I was not aware of the issue until today. I told my PM that I want to terminate the PM contract but PM just called me that actually tenant is threatening killing PM family (My pm says tenant sent threatening text messages at night)
At this moment, I am not sure what really happened between PM and Tenant but I sent email to PM that I want to terminate the contract. (I was going to change PM anyway due to bad management style/ bad communication etc..)
And I will ask each tenant that contact me directly from now on if there is any issue. I will try to do self manage for while and see how its goes.
I am out of state investor and if there is the legal issue (court issue) between PM and Tenant (tenant and PM says they will report police or court), what I need to prepare ? I really didn't expect such thing happen in my MF units but appreciate if anyone can advise.
