@Ray Hovorka great stuff.  I have purchased three homes since October.  I have made some good connections with wholesalers.  If you are a motivated buyer then I can connect you with some motivated sellers.  I live in Cypress, TX and can introduce you to some wholesalers I have networked with.

@Trent Herbert Bought in the same neighborhood in the 77070 area code.  the neighborhood is called Tallow Wood.  great location, great schools, minutes from Willowbrook Mall and 249.  We should try and figure out having coffee sometime...there are sooo many stories in real estate.  Such and adventure...I think 90% say they want to be real estate investors but only end up kicking the tires...

Hey @Trent Herbert i live in Cypress as well (coles crossing) and have just closed my second deal last week.  I started in October so that would classify as a newbie as well. I am trying to buy about 4-5 homes/year if I can find solid deals. I have learned a lot from the Bigger Pockets Podcast and have read several books since October.

Let's try and set it up...let's give it a couple of weeks so I can get the Rehab underway. Please kindly pursue me again in 2 weeks and we will meet along the 290 area near Cypress if that is OK with you?

@Al Williamson I absolutely agree with you, thanks for your reply.  I went to the property today to measure the fence and it is 6'. In fact, the neighbor's fence is 6" higher than that of my fence. I wonder if they just want me to submit paper work.  Thanks again.

Just rehabbed our first rental home.  The place was a wreck.  Trees engulfed the home.  Absolute eye sore for at least 2 years.  We found it, fixed it up, put a renter in the place. It looks 1,000 times better and the neighbors are very thankful that we picked up the property.   We just got a letter about the fence.  They say the fence can't be taller than 6 foot.  I didn't measure if it was 6 foot.  What if it is 6'1" or 6'2"?  What do I do?
