New Guy from Cypress, TX

Hi Everyone! Newbie here from Cypress, TX. Glad to be joining the BP community!

A little about myself: I am 27 years old, I work full time for Baker Hughes and have been with them for 2 years now. I worked 3 years for Halliburton before that. My wife and I recently bought our first home in August 2014 where we currently still live (Cypress).

I am a total beginner when it comes to real estate investing but I would like to change that which is why I’m here! I’ve always had an interest in real estate, specifically buying and renting properties and it seems to run in the family as both sets of grandparents have owned/operated rental properties in South Houston/Pasadena area since the 1960’s. Until just recently, real estate investing to me has always been a “maybe someday I’ll….” or “I wish I could….”, but nothing more than a thought or wish, never acting on it. A switch has been flipped and I am now serious about becoming a real estate investor.

I am very excited to say the least and hope to learn all I can from the BP community!
