Hi @Wisner D.

Welcome to BP!  You can search by your zip code to quickly gather a list of members in your local market.  I find that most folks are really open to helping out.

Best of luck and let me know how you do on your first deal.

Gil

@Joshua Dorkin

Congratulations!!

What an awesome accomplishment. BP has truly been a huge piece of my REI education.

Keep up the GREAT work!!

Hi Kyle,

Welcome to BP!!  You've come to the right place to learn about investing in real estate!!

I suggest you start reading and listening to @Brandon Turner and @Joshua Dorkin on the BP Podcasts.  So many great tools and like minded individuals that are willing to lend a hand on this site.

I'm in the OC as well.  I live in Trabuco Canyon and grew up in Huntington Beach.  Best of luck and let me know if you have any questions!

Take care!!

Well said @Hattie Dizmond and @Rocky V. ! You both make some great points. I'm a California based investor and LOVE Texas. I have a great rental SFR in Austin and am now turning my attention towards North Dallas. I would like to move to Texas some day in the future, but for now I will continue to invest in a state that is doing all the right things and drawing in large companies from my state (i.e. Toyota)!! :)

Hi Rollan,

I live on the south side of Cali and yes it is expensive in the Golden State.  I'm following the same path as yourself...turnkey in more affordable markets.  Currently investing in OKC and looking into Dallas and KC.

Best of luck!!

Hi Craig,

I'm a newbie to BP as well but have been listening to the podcasts for a while.  I live in South OC and am always working in Irvine.  I am starting to buy in a couple of different Midwest states as well and have been pretty impressed with the ROIs vs. So Cal.

Good luck to you!!  Let me know if you'd like to compare notes.
