Hi Kyle,

Welcome to BP!!  You've come to the right place to learn about investing in real estate!!

I suggest you start reading and listening to @Brandon Turner and @Joshua Dorkin on the BP Podcasts.  So many great tools and like minded individuals that are willing to lend a hand on this site.

I'm in the OC as well.  I live in Trabuco Canyon and grew up in Huntington Beach.  Best of luck and let me know if you have any questions!
