It depends on what type of permit is being pulled.  In Florida a Gc cannot pull an electrical or plumbing permit unless they are licensed in that trade. That should be the only reason why they ask of that.  Even then if they are a real Gc they shouldn’t ask a homeowner to do that. They should have relationships with those people to have the work done.  Sounds like they are not state licensed to be able to pull those permits so they ask the homeowner to do so.

@Michael Brown Yes interior walls will most likely be wood framed. Exterior walls will either be 2x4 as well or have 1x2 furring strips to attach things to. I have seen interior walls that are block but that is rare.

@Michael Brown Go for it.  Depending on what you will be rehabbing there isn’t much difference. A wall is a wall, main difference is the type of fasteners used. Unless you start wanting to open up exterior walls, that’s when things become different.

@Ryan Nolan If you don’t bill for your time your partners are actually making more than you. If you didn’t do the work you would have to pay someone to do it, therefore all the partners would be splitting that bill.  You should be paid for it unless that is part of the agreement.

@Amber C. Dummy door knobs are used for closets that just pull open. The knob does not twist alike a standard knob. It is usually on a closet that has two doors where a standard door catch won’t work and they match on the top of the door jamb. A passage knob is used for closets and a privacy knob is usually used for bedrooms and bathrooms so they can be locked. They are not keyed knobs.

@Ofir R. Like mentioned about. Hire a Contractor that specializes in that, he’ll get it through and done in a shorter time than that.

@Sara Garcia I just started using an app called TSheets. It also works with QuickBooks. I haven’t figured it all out yet but what I have used it’s great. The best feature is the tracking. You can see exactly where they go the throughout the day.
