Hi,

I am a newbie from abroad and got the bug 4 month ago.

Since then I read several books on REI and been here at BP on a daily basis.

Now that i got some education and got my plan in hand, I am struggling with the next step: Location!

Most advises are to start locally but that, obviously, doesn't work for me since I am thousands of miles away.

I have friends in Cherry Hill, NJ that would even be happy to assist me with my purchase/s but I am not sure if that market is the right one. (Taxes are skyrocketing and ruining cash flow)

Any advice on how to move forward most sufficiently would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. I am very happy to be part of this awesome community.

Thanks @Ben Dunavent but as my focus is currently on Buy and Hold I am not sure hard money lending is the correct way for me.

Hi, I got the bug of real estate investment 1.5 month ago. Since then I am not only trying to get as much educated as I can but also to try and understand the American market and how to determine in what sub-market to invest.

I was born in Germany and am living for the past 21 years in Israel. I have both citizenship's. My wife and I own a SFH clean from any loan. Investing in Israel is not for us as the rates for everything are very high. Someone already advised me to refinance our current home but I m not sure if getting a local mortgage, buying a few SFH in the States would be smart as I would be depending on the currency rate as well.

Can anyone advice me if it is possible to get a mortgage in the States as a German or Israeli citizen and if it would be financially wise?

Thanks in advance to any reply

Thank you all very much for your kind advises. Is there a limitation on how many investments/loans i can get from one/several banks? I mean that if i'd get the 70% could i devide that by 20% for down payments and invest directly in multiple assets?

Hi,

I am owning a nice house currently worth 600K (clean from any mortgage or debt) and finally understood that sitting on this kind of asset is just a monthly waste of money.

As I am completely new to the real estate investment business, I am wondering whether it would be the right way to sell my current house and buy several assets for rental or keeping this and getting a loan/mortgage and buy, probably, fewer assets.

I am sure there are many answers to my question but I'd really appreciate to just get some kind of idea of what the right direction would be.

Thanks in advance for any replies
