McKellar Newsom - I am planning on going snowboarding on Sunday. My ticket is out of Denver at 10:00 pm or something like that, so I will do something. I don't know where yet, but will make the decision once I am up there.

Jon Holdman - It's been 13 years since I lived in that area and my gear from when I was 21 doesn't seem to fit on my 34 yr old body for some reason. I think it shrunk in the attic. Do you know of any places that rent gear?

Don Hines Woooooooooooooooo! Congrats! If you close on March 19th, that leaves enough time to get to Denver for the Summit. You know you want to Don.

Bought my tickets today. I find 6 weeks out is usually the best time.

Flying in Tuesday and out Sunday. Plan on seeing some old friends and our old stomping grounds.

Will be at the hotel by Thursday afternoon. Would love to hang out and meet everyone in person instead of just reading your posts!

Well, I'm an idiot and clicked on the handsome man link. I don't know what I was thinking. That's gonna scar me for life.

Rich,

Awesome message! It hits home as my wife and I just had our first child, he is 9 months old. I left our business to start investing in real estate so that I could make my own schedule and spend as much time with my son as I want to. It's great to know there are many people out there that feel the same way we do. Please continue to post your thoughts and please don't wait to answer our questions, we may not know what to ask! Thanks again, and looking forward to meeting you in Denver.

I was in a similar situation, but I don't think it was illegal. Columbus, MS is a pilot training base, so there are always single folks showing up and leaving a year later. I was living in a rented house with 2 other guys. The deposit for the house was $1000, so it didn't matter if 3 people lived there or 1 person, they still needed a total of $1000 for the deposit.

When I left, I couldn't get my $333 back from the PM because then the deposit on the house would only be $667 and not the $1000 they needed. So they told me to get the money from the next person that would be moving in or from my current roommates that would be there for another couple of months, or I could get the money back from the PM when the lease was up and everyone moved out. I ended up having the next guy that was going to live there pay the PM and then they cut me a check for the $333.

Does that sound like a similar situation?

Hi Karen!

Welcome! I just got active on Biggerpockets myself and have already made some great contacts! I currently have a couple of offers in for some mobile home parks myself. Good Luck!
