Why You Should Upload a Personal Avatar Today - Especially if You're Coming to the BP Summit . . .

If you're coming to the BiggerPockets Summit in March, now is as good a time as ever to upload a personal imageto your BiggerPockets profile. As anyone who has been around here for even a short while knows, I STRONGLY believe that you are doing yourself a disservice by not using a profile image that is a headshot. That said, I think it is far more important for those people who will be networking at our live event next month.

Using a personal image will help people relate to you personally, will humanize you, will help you build your personal brand, and will help others recognize you. The last point is probably the most important, and is the reason why real estate agents have, for years, used their face on their business cards. Walkup and referral business definitely increases as people get to know you. As I've said before, almost all of the top social media experts would concur that using your face on your social profiles is an absolute must.

So . . . if you've been waiting for a good time or reason to update your profile image, now is as good a time as any....

Thanks for hearing me out.
