@Jim McCabe congrats man, inspiring story!

Also it seems that you and the wife did a lot of the rehab yourself, how much do you think it would have cost if you had a contractor do it? I'm asking since I hold a full time gig and I'm not handy so I may end up getting a contractor to do this for me, however will that break the deal in your scenario? Thanks for the input man and again congrats!

Hi guys,

I've been reading and listening to BP Podcast for a few months now and educating myself.

I have a full time gig in a tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to learn more about house flips. I'm going to attend the monthly REI meetings in my area and have met some fellow BPers over coffee and it's been a good experience.

I learned from Brandon Turner that partnering with an experienced flipper by providing cash and maybe credit to flip a property may be a good route. I'm seriously considering this route however I wanted to ask the community if anyone had success taking this route, will very much appreciate your guidance here and pitfalls to avoid.

Happy to meet for coffee or lunch (on me) in the weekends to connect and learn from an experienced flipper that can spare an hour to help a fellow BPer. I will pay it forward once i become more successful, promise.

Thanks in advance guys!

Alice K. Interesting and honest post, I like it! 😁 Currently working in downtown SF so I see those luxury condominiums and posh houses. Also living in the Bay Area, there's a lot of million dollar homes so I made it a habit to ask myself how can I add tremendous value on what I do so my income stream allows me to buy it comfortably (20-25% of my income). We just have to keep hustling to reach our goals, listen and learn to BP Podcast and take massive action. I'm starting up my REI journey, outside my primary residence bought a Property with my sister and had a lot of lessons learned, it was painful so I'm doing my diligence, networking with people here in BP and learning a lot. Happy to connect.

William Collins you're doing fantastic man, amazing job!!!' Any advice for a newbie who holds a full time gig and wanted to replicate this amazing work of yours? I live in the Bay Area California and this market is quite expensive, do you recommend another state? My goal is to buy multiple homes with positive cash flow with the goal of replacing my income, it's a dream but I'm willing to put all the work and save $, just need some Guidance. Thanks in advance!

Hi BP Family, I've been in BP forum for a few months now, I made my first investment property in Elk Grove outside my primary residence in San Leandro. I've listened to BP podcast #237 Partnership and BRRR, the guest holds a full time job and had tremendous success in buying cheaper homes, having a solid full time job and partnering with experienced trust worthy investors. My question for you family, if you would replicate this, where would u start? I live in the Bay Area and this seems not possible due to high prices. I would say out of state will be the option, any ideas will be much appreciated on how to start. My goal so to buy multiple houses and generate cash flow, I plan to keep my full time gig which pays decent until such time that my cash flow is well beyond my W2 earnings. Happy to connect and grab coffee ☕️ or lunch on me. Thanks in advance family! Fernando
Arianne L. Just wanted to say you're awesome! And you killed that podcast, great work and inspiring! Love the drive and motivation, you know what you want, took massive action, change your approach until you get it! Will listen to it again, you got me hooked on the Why? I have a cushy corporate gig but nothing beats you calling your own shots. I live in the Bay Area and buying houses in cash is a little tougher for rentals, flipping will probably be the same, so considering going out of state, any input will be much appreciated 😁 more blessings!
